In Luca, Alberto is seen biting his lower lip in one of the scenes, which sparked multiple threads and rumours on the reason therefore.

The film is produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It follows the life of Luca Paguro, who is a sea monster boy with the ability to assume human form while on land. He explores the town of Portorosso with his new best friend, Alberto Scorfano.
In the film, the fans witnessed a scene where Alberto and Luca were having a conversation, during which Alberto spoke Spanish. Luca did not understand what his new friend said and asked him what it meant. In response to his question, Alberto simply bit his lower lip, which sparked mixed reactions from the fans.
This scene fueled various rumours and threads, as the fans have different opinions on why Alberto bit his lower lip. One fan stated that Alberto and Luca are secretly gay, and that Alberto was admiring Luca’s body, which was only covered from the waist down. The scene also led to erotic fan fiction involving the two young boys.
Another fan took to Twitter on Sunday, 20 June 2021, stating, “I was worried that this would happen, and it is a terrible thing that is has happened. It is one thing to do cute stuff like your favorite characters holding hands or hanging out, but yeah. These are clearly children, under the age of 16 even. I wish people would stop sexualizing them.”
Another fan argued that while everyone is thinking that Alberto was checking Luca out, he believes that Alberto had no idea what he said in Spanish, and bit his lip while in thought.
Despite all the rumors and multiple threads, Disney and Pixar have yet to reveal why Alberto bit his lower lip in that particular scene.
