Ariana Grande replaces Nick Jonas on The Voice

Ariana Grande has announced that she will be joining season 21 of NBC’s The Voice, taking the place of Nick Jonas who is the only judge that will not be returning for the new season.

Ariana Grande took to Instagram on Tuesday, 30 March 2021, to announce that she will be joining the judging panel of NBC’s The Voice. The Grammy Award-winning singer will be a part of season 21, which is expected to premiere in September 2021. Ariana will be judging the contestants alongside Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Blake Shelton, as she will be taking Nick Jonas’ chair on the panel.

Ariana shared an image of herself sitting on the iconic spinning chair and captioned the post by expressing her excitement. She also made mention of Nick, showing that there is no bad blood between them. According to Page Six, a source from The Voice confirmed that Nick’s departure is not for good, as he is set to return in a later season. The source was quoted as saying, “She is replacing Nick Jonas, who is a [coach] on the current season, but he isn’t leaving for good. Nick will remain on rotation with other stars that have appeared on the show. The chances are he will be back soon.”
