Prior to that, the Grammy Award-winning singer first teased her new look in May 2020, which showed her sporting a significantly smaller frame, as she posed in a black cocktail dress that flaunted her toned legs.

Thereafter, Adele continued to share sporadic images on her Instagram page, before her Saturday Night Live appearance, which was the first live reveal of her new look. In May 2020, Adele’s personal trainer, Peter Geracimo, took to Instagram to comment on the negativity she received regarding her notable weight loss, which he claimed was for health reasons and not to be incredibly skinny.

Peter stated, “When 25 dropped and the tour announced, we had to get ready for a 13-month gruelling schedule. In that time, she warmed to training and made better food choices. As a result, she lost considerable weight and people took notice. Her body transformation was splashed across every media outlet. The attention it generated was mind-blowing.”

Peter went on to explain that the stress from her personal life had also contributed to her weight loss, and that the evolution of her body was only natural as a result of her healthy lifestyle changes.
