Did Nicki Minaj have a boy or girl?

The award-winning rapper shocked everyone when she announced her pregnancy in 2020, after being off social media for months.

Nicki Minaj sent her fans and the entertainment industry into a frenzy when she announced, on her Twitter page, that she would be retiring from music.

As one of rap’s most influential artists, it was no surprise that almost every publication put out a story about the big news.

“I’ve decided to retire and have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep [representing] me, do it [until the] death of me, X in the box [because] nobody [is] checking me. Love you for life,” she tweeted.

Some people viewed it as her taking a lengthy break, but she decided to address the speculation with an apology. She called her tweet “abrupt and insensitive,” while also adding that she is still right here.

Nicki Minaj took her break and when she came back onto the scene, she had a new addition to her family.

The rapper took to Instagram to announce that she was pregnant by posting pictures from her pregnancy shoot.

Nicki Minaj, real name Onika Tanya Maraj, married her husband, Kenneth Petty, in 2019.

He was convicted of attempted rape in 1995, and many people were not happy that she was having a baby with a felon.

Regardless of how people felt, the rapper was happy to have her little family come together. Nicki Minaj took to Instagram, once again, to announce that her baby boy had been born and was healthy.

The baby’s gender was revealed through her message of gratitude to all of her celebrity friends who sent her congratulatory messages.

Thank you to Queen B, Kim and Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol and everyone who sent well wishes during this time. It meant the world to me. I am so grateful and in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite [little] boy in the whole wide world,” she captioned her post.
