Disney has shared the official release date of High School Musical: The Musical’s second season, which has been confirmed for Friday, 14 May 2021. The new season will see East High competing in a national competition, which adds pressure to the team that is already concerned about college. With Nina away at school, she makes a pledge to Richard that she will hold on to their relationship despite the long distance. However, with all the complications of a young relationship, the pair struggle to find a way to make it work.
The new season has garnered more attention since the release of lead actress, Olivia Rodrigo’s worldwide number one hit song, Drivers License, which was speculated to be about her co-star, Joshua Basset. The show will see the two reuniting on screen, giving fans a chance to see them together amidst the drama.
