The Dominion board game contains 24 Action cards (10 of each) with values and actions that the players can take to gain victory or to disadvantage other players.
Board games are typically played with cards and some other supplies, but cards are usually the main source of play.
Cards contain instructions and moves to make in the game on your turn, but actions are mostly dictated by Action cards, which tell you what action you can perform with the card.
The Dominion board game is played with different card stacks and also has Action cards. In the game of Dominion, however, a large portion of Kingdom cards also serve as Action cards.

Dominion board game
The Dominion board game is a card game about gaining power. As a player, you are a monarch chasing your hopes and dreams of building a bigger and more prosperous kingdom for yourself.
You are basically after a Dominion, but in the game you are not without competition as there are other monarchs just like you who are pursuing the exact same thing, power and their stake in most of the land.
You need to fight to be the first of your fellow monarchs to gain as much power as you can by getting control of a majority of the land to develop civilisation.
Also, you need to secure as much power as you can before your competition by hiring minions, building buildings, making your castle appealing, and accumulating assets.

The Action phase
Players each play an Action card from their hand.
The Buy phase
Players can purchase a card from a pile by paying for it, and cards are bought from the Supply.
The Clean-up phase
A player must dispose of all cards, placing them back in the Discard pile to take five new cards. The game ends when the last province is purchased or if three to four piles are finished.
Players total their victories and the player with the highest score wins. If there is a tie, the player with the least turns is the winner.
