Fortnite removed the Alien Abductors

In the most recent Fortnite update, the Alien Abductors were removed from the game, however, the removal is reportedly temporary and players can expect to see it again.

Fortnite is a very popular online video game developed by Epic Games. It features three different gaming modes that otherwise share the same gameplay and game engine. Fortnite: Save the World is a cooperative survival game for up to four players to fight off zombie-like creatures.

Fortnite Battle Royale is a free-to-play battle royal game where up to 100 players fight to be the last person standing. Fortnite Creative is a platform where players are given complete freedom to create battle arenas and worlds. The battle royale mode of the game became an overwhelming success and a cultural phenomenon, drawing in more than 125 million players in less than a year.

The most recent Fortnite update featured many tweaks and changes, which include the Fortnite abductors being removed from the game. The Alien Abductors used to take players randomly from the map and transfer them to another location.

According to Fortnite Status, the removal of the abductors is temporary, so they will be returned to the game at a later stage. However, there has been no clear confirmation from Fortnite on when the Alien Abductors will return to the game, but it has been announced that they will be returning in the current season.

Along with removing the abductors, Fortnite made a new addition to the game, Alien Nanites. It seems to be a replacement of the mechanical parts that players got from cars, but they are also us able as individual items. Players can reportedly also use the Alien Nanites to create a No-Gravity Force Field. Inside the field, players will receive no fall damage and the ability to fly around. The Nanites can also be used as a modification to in-game weapons.

Fortnite Status took to Twitter on Tuesday, 6 July 2021, stating, “Remember: Abductors visit in cycles. They will hover over the island again during the season!”
