After forming their sketch comedy troupe, Joe, Murr, Q and Sal went on to have success as a travelling act. They won the $100 000 grand prize in NBC’s It’s Your Show competition, which was the beginning of their television journey.
Initially, the show was meant for Spike TV, as the 2008 pilot was shot for the channel. But in 2010, truTV announced the imminent arrival of the show, initially meant to be called Mission: Uncomfortable.
No reason was given for the change in name, but Murray spoke on the format of their show, explaining, “We needed to find the right format… thing is, we’ve been doing this for years, but when it’s on camera, the embarrassment is amplified.”
Why did Joe leave Impractical Jokers?

Moreover, he explained his reasoning, sharing, “Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids.”
He added, “To all of the amazing fans, thank you for allowing me to make you laugh with Jokers.
They say that laughter is the best medicine, and I hope I’ve been able to provide some of that over the last decade.”
