It is believed that while Spider-Man may like Green Arrow, the Emerald Archer would hate Spider-Man due to his ethos.
The Green Arrow, whose human name is Oliver Queen, is one of the DC Universe’s superheroes and he is distinguished as the universe’s premiere archer.
This is because he is the master of one of humanity’s oldest weapons, and he is also a wealthy businessman whose mission is to protect his home town – Star City.
One of the superheroes that fans usually pit Green Arrow against is the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man.
This is when fans of both superheroes are not speculating about what kind of relationship the two heroes would have as they have similar ethos’, despite the fact that they live out their beliefs differently.
As such, it is believed that Green Arrow and Spider-Man would not be chummy with each other.
What is Green Arrow’s weakness?
While Green Arrow may be the master of the bow and arrow and he may have high tactical combat skills, he shares his greatest weakness with fellow DC Universe superhero, Batman.
This weakness is that despite their skills and experiences, they are still human. As such, when he is pitted against superheroes with actual superhuman abilities, the Green Arrow could meet his demise.
This is exacerbated by the fact that as he is arrogant and sometimes leads with his pride, which has landed him in unnecessarily fatal terrains during battles.
How would Spider-Man feel about Green Arrow?
Green Arrow and Spider-Man have the same ethos, which is to use their powers to protect their loved ones and the cities that they are from. Therefore, it is believed that if the superheroes would ever meet, they would instantly get along.
However, this has been challenged, because in addition to his ethical stance, Spider-Man has made his ethos his well-known philosophy, which is, “with great power, comes great responsibility.”
Many believe that this is a philosophy that Green Arrow would mock. Therefore, though the philosophy is inspired by words spoken by his Aunt May, it is believed that the two would continually be at loggerheads with each other.
The Emerald Archer is pompous and sometimes crass. Spider-Man, on the other hand, is known for having verbal diarrhoea.
Therefore, even in a world in which the two exist in the same universe, it is believed that they would have an antagonistic relationship. Whether
it is a brotherly relationship filled with insults and underhanded jabs, or an antagonistic relationship with both superheroes at opposites of a battle, their exchanges would be filled with back-and-forth insults. But for fans, it may be comical or entertaining to see.
Green Arrow vs. Spider-Man: Who would win?
While Green Arrow may have a multitude of arrows with tactical explosives and arsenal at his disposal, it is believed that he would lose a fight with Spider-Man.
This is primarily attributed to Spider-Man’s Spidey-senses and his agility. Therefore, Green Arrow would likely find it difficult to land an arrow.
Moreover, even if he were to, Spider-Man has proven on multiple occasions that he can survive explosive hits and still come out victorious when the battle is done and a victor is revealed.
Does Green Arrow have Spidey-senses like Spider-Man?
In 2021 when edition “68” of the Justice League comic books was released, it suggested that Green Arrow had developed Spidey-senses.
However, unlike Spider-Man’s Spidey-senses, which were earned by being bitten by a radioactive spider, Green Arrow’s are suggested to have been honed by experience.
This is evident in the comic book when he is able to save the Checkmates and Leo Lane, Lois Lane’s brother, using his keen awareness, similarly to how Spider-Man is able to use his Spidey-senses to find the best way to get out of a life-threatening situation.
Green Arrow vs. Spider-Man: Who came first?
Green Arrow was first introduced into the DC Universe in 1941, a fact which makes the superhero the first to have been introduced into their respective universes. Spider-Man, as a superhero, was introduced in Marvel’s comic back in 1962.
The Emerald Archer was allegedly created by writer Mort Weisinger, and illustrator George Papp, first appearing in the comic book More Fun Comics edition number “7.”
Spider-Man on the other hand, was first introduced in the Marvel Comics’ Amazing Fantasy edition number “15” as Peter Parker, an American teenage boy, who is a sickly orphan whose life changes when he is bitten by a radioactive spider.
