Kardashians share their personal heartache over ending of Keeping Up With The Kardashians

Keeping Up With The Kardashians is set to end after 20 seasons, with each member of the family publicly expressing their gratitude to their fans, who contributed to the show’s success.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians premiered in 2007 on E! Entertainment, and quickly became a worldwide phenomenon. Initially based on Kim Kardashian and her life as a celebrity stylist, the show gradually added other members of the family who quickly gained popularity in their own right, allowing them to individually flourish in their respective careers. As at 2021, the Kardashians are known as one of the wealthiest television families, with the youngest, Kylie Jenner, having reached billionaire status in 2020.

As they continue to progress in their careers, the Kardashians continue to credit the show for their success, making the end of Keeping Up With The Kardashians extremely emotional. In September 2020, the family made the announcement, with each member sharing their personal tributes to the show.

Kris Jenner stated, “It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up With The Kardashians. After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children.”

Kim felt humbled by the success she has gained because of the show, and thanked her fans for helping make her dreams a reality. “Without Keeping Up With The Kardashians, I wouldn’t be where I am today. This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever.”

Khloe also gave credit to all of the people involved in the making of the show and thanked them for documenting the best and worst parts of their lives, which included the numerous spin-off shows that came from Keeping Up With The Kardashians. She stated, “I am so grateful and thankful to everyone who has supported us and been there through it all. I’m too emotional to fully express myself at the moment. Change is hard but also needed at times.”

Kourtney’s relationship with the show has been tumultuous throughout the years, as she often threatened to leave due to the lack of privacy. On multiple occasions, she refused to film and was often called out by her sisters when she appeared agitated on camera. Kourtney never officially made a comment about the ending of the show, however, she did share an image which stated, “She has exited the building.” Fans have speculated that the image suggests that she is happy about the decision.
