Season 14 of Married at First Sight has been labelled as the season with the show’s worst bride, Alyssa Ellman, who fans consider to be delusional and manipulative.

Then she showed her unrealistic expectations when she refused to work on building chemistry with Chris after admitting that she was not attracted to him when she first saw him.
This marked the first sign for fans that the newlyweds’ union was doomed.
2. Alyssa gaslighting Chris
Another red flag for viewers was Alyssa and Chris’ honeymoon. During what was supposed to be the newlyweds attempting to get to know each other and build chemistry, Alyssa was doing everything in her power to spend as much time away from Chris as possible.
Then, when they did spend time together, Alyssa would gaslight Chris in an attempt to draw a response from him to paint him as the aggressor, and her as the victim. However, Chris did not fall for the trap, which only increased the fans’ dislike for her.
3. Alyssa and her alleged delusion
Seemingly, what made Alyssa the worst wife on Married at First Sight, compared to other wives in the past, was her delusion.
First, Alyssa did not understand why Chris wanted a divorce, demonstrated by her crying when he first mentioned it. She went on to act oblivious about why he would want a divorce; this after all her antics mentioned above.
Furthermore, she suggested that Chris was a bad guy for supporting the defunding of the police, revealing her own lack of understanding on the matter.
