Rugrats is set to return for a reboot this year, with the original cast members coming back to reprise the roles they made famous in the 1990s.
Rugrats is set to make its return in late 2021, but will now air on Paramount Plus as a Nickelodeon production.
The popular animation show, which first aired in 1991, was broadcast for nine years and will be returning 21 years later for a revamped version.
Whilst details on the reboot haven’t been shared yet, Paramount Plus has announced that the original cast members will be returning.
In an Instagram post on Friday, 9 April 2021, Paramount Plus shared that E.G Daily will return as Tommy Pickles, Nancy Cartwright as Chuckie, Cree Summer as Susie, Cheryl Chase as Angelica, and Kath Soucie as Phil and Lil.
The streaming service stated, “Raise your hand if these voices were the soundtrack to your childhood. They’ll all be returning for Rugrats, coming soon to Paramount Plus.”
