In August 2021, Technoblade revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer and detailed the type of cancer he has, in a video explaining his absence from regular posting.
Technoblade is a YouTuber from the United States (US). His YouTube is synonymous with the content creator curating collaborative videos with other child-friendly gaming YouTube and Twitch streamers.
He began his YouTube channel back in 2013, and has since grown his channel to have over 9.36 million subscribers to date.
Earlier this year in June 2021, Technoblade took to YouTube to host a live stream of himself, featuring Dream playing The Prison Podcast game.
The video was a spontaneous video, as he began by expressing that he was streaming the video in the early hours of the morning in the US.
Moreover, he expressed that the video was posted without any prior notice to his subscribers or followers. After this video, it would be another two months of non-uploads until he returned with his Where I’ve Been video.
The video, which was uploaded in August 2021, served to notify his followers that he has been diagnosed with cancer. This was after he received his test results that were run on his arm, after he suffered from pain that was caused by a tumour.
In the video, he confirmed that he was already undergoing chemotherapy, as he stated, “The first couple days were actually pretty chill. I was like, dang this is easy bro, and then it kicked in and my energy levels were zero. They were absolutely nothing. It is hard to describe how tired I was.”
In the video, he maintained high-spirits and energy, still managing to crack jokes, while being sincere in raising awareness and highlighting the importance of continuing to follow COVID-19 safety guidelines.
Following the video, Technoblade is still sporadically posting videos. His last video was a charitable video aiming to raise funds for him to continue to pay for his medical bills and more testing.
