It has been almost a year since Tell Me Your Secrets premiered, and fans are nowhere close to finding out if season 2 is in the cards.

Created by Harriet Warner, the 10-episode season introduced viewers to Emma Hall, who is “a woman who looked into the eyes of a dangerous killer (and ex-boyfriend), John was a serial predator desperate to find redemption, and Mary is trying to find her missing daughter.
As each of them is pushed to the edge, their pasts grow murkier.” The main cast includes Lily Rabe as Emma Hall, Hamish Linklater as John Tyler and Amy Brenneman as Mary Barlow.
Will there be a Tell Me Your Secrets season 2?
When the first season of Tell Me Your Secrets concluded its 10-episode run with the season finale episode titled The Dead Come Back, it left several open-ended storyline arcs.
First, it was John surviving an attack from Emma. Then it was revealed that Rose and Brodie conspired to kill a Jerome House resident, after they found out about a medical conspiracy with young women involved.
To top it all off, the Jerome House conspiracy is unravelling. With all these incomplete artcs, there is plenty for the second season to continue to explore.

Lily Rabe on Tell Me Your Secret season 2
During the promotional run for season one of Tell Me Your Secrets, lead, Lily Rabe did confirm that she was open to the possibility of a second season by stating at the time:
“Something that I loved about the first season story of Tell Me Your Secrets was that it has a beginning, middle, and end, but there is also room for more and lots of ways that can be done. That is something that Harriet expressed very specifically to me when we initially talked about it, so hopefully, that will happen.”
Hamish Linklater on Tell Me Your Secrets season 2
While Amazon Prime Video has kept mum about the possibility of season 2 of Tell Me Your Secrets, the cast has indicated that they are still interested in a second season.
Like Hamish Linklater when he spoke to Collider in 2021, stating, “I think that there’s a weird inevitability to where Emma ends up. She’s running and running and running, and then is gonna become the pursuer in the next chapter. It makes sense.”
Why is Amazon Prime Video unforthcoming about season 2?
While it cannot be confirmed, Lily Rabe’s latest acting role might be the reason that Amazon Prime Video has not shared word on the renewal or cancellation of Tell Me Your Secrets.
Rabe was part of the 2021 Amazon Prime Video film directed by George Clooney titled The Tender Bar, starring Ben Affleck as Uncle Charlie. Rabe played Dorothy Maguire, who was the mother in the film.
Therefore, this could explain the delay in confirming a second season. More so as Rabe has also revealed that she is currently expecting.
