Porsha Williams, who is a RHOA alum, finally married her husband Simon Guobadia in a two-part wedding which took place on Friday, 25 November 2022 and Saturday, 26 November 2022.
This unique wedding format honoured both the bride and the groom, since the first ceremony was a traditional Nigerian native law and custom ceremony, and the second was a traditional American ceremony.
Both events were highly publicised and PEOPLE magazine even got the exclusive opportunity to publish the wedding photos and an interview with the couple shortly after they said their “I dos”.
Many of the guests who were in attendance also shared photos and videos from the wedding on their social media pages. As a result, fans could quickly piece together who exactly was in attendance and who was left off the guest list.
Most notably, Porsha’s long-time rival on the show, Kenya Moore, was not at the wedding, even though many other members of the The Real Housewives franchise were.
Although it is unclear at this point whether she was not invited or simply decided not to go, many fans of the show knew that after all of the drama that had unfolded between her and Porsha over the years on RHOA, it was unlikely that she would end up showing up to the wedding, regardless of whether she was invited by the couple or not.
The drama between Kenya and Porsha on RHOA
Kenya and Porsha have had a long-term feud ever since both ladies joined the cast of RHOA in season five . Initially, Porsha called Kenya “Miss America” instead of her correct title, “Miss USA”, and this resulted in an argument on their first episode on the show.
The nastiness between both parties continued for a long time and during the season six reunion episode, Porsha and Kenya even got involved in a physical fight.
Later on, there was a brief period of peace when Kenya and Porsha both had daughters around the same time in season 12 of the show, but this was short-lived and the two were back to fighting and calling each other names by season 13, which was also Porsha’s last season on the cast of RHOA.
The two parted ways still angry with each other, when Kenya continued to make comments about Porsha sleeping with married men.
Why would Kenya not be invited to the wedding?
The main reason why fans assumed that Kenya would not be invited to Porsha’s wedding, or that she would not show up even if she were invited, was because Kenya was one of the most outspoken cast members when it came to the rumours that Porsha had started her relationship with Simon while he was still married to his ex-wife.
Given the tumultuous history between Kenya and Porsha, it seemed as though Kenya used the rumours about infidelity as ammunition against her rival. The two have still not made up, even after Porsha left the show.
