Timothée Chalamet and Lily-Rose Depp

Timothée Chalamet and Lily-Rose Depp’s relationship ended nearly two years after a passionate picture of the pair on board a yacht was publicised.

Timothée Chalamet and Lily-Rose Depp are both known as relatively reserved celebrities who prefer to be known for their work, rather than their personal lives.

They have both been very committed to staying out of the mainstream media, as they have never publicly addressed speculation or rumours surrounding their relationships.

Rumours of a romance between them began in early 2018, when they appeared in Netflix’s The King together, and appeared to have undeniable chemistry whilst on the red carpet.

Timothée and Lily-Rose toured all of Europe for the promotion of the movie, and the media noticed the similarities between them, such as their fluency in both French and English.

Although they were asked about the nature of their relationship on multiple occasions, they consistently claimed to be just friends.

This was until 2018, when images of them intimately embracing each other on board a yacht went viral, suggesting that they were officially a couple.

In an interview with GQ in October 2018, Timothée confirmed that he was in a relationship with Lily-Rose, however, they were both mortified by the pictures that were leaked.

He stated, “I went to bed that night thinking that was one of the best days of my life. I was on this boat all day with someone I really loved, and closing my eyes, I was like, indisputably, ‘That was great.’ And then waking up to all these pictures, and feeling embarrassed, and looking like a real nob? All pale? And then people are like, ‘This is a PR stunt.’ A PR stunt?! Do you think I’d want to look like that in front of all of you?!”

Although they did not post images of one another on social media at any point during their relationship, they were assumed to still be together in 2019, as they attended events as one another’s date.

It was also initially assumed that they had spent quarantine together in 2020, however, it was later revealed that this was not the case.

In the May 2020 issue of British Vogue, Timothée revealed that he was single and indicated that he had spent much of the lockdown alone.

Both Timothée and Lily-Rose have remained private about their romantic lives since then, and it is unclear whether either of them have moved on.
