Ride, Hallmark’s newest rodeo-focused family drama, airs on the original Hallmark Channel, not on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries or Hallmark Drama.
Hallmark Channel has always been home to a variety of fan-favourite content, and it has now expanded to include two other channels.
Fortunately, the network’s newest show Ride, which follows a multi-generational family as they try to maintain their ranch, will be available to watch on the original Hallmark Channel and on various streaming services.
Which Hallmark Channel is Ride on?
Hallmark Channel has been the go-to cable network channel for made-for-TV movies and rom coms of a wide range for over three decades, but it was only rebranded officially as Hallmark Channel in 2001.
Since then, the television landscape has changed considerably and these traditional cable networks have had to adjust, or risk being left behind.
As a result, Hallmark Channels has now expanded to include the Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel, and Hallmark Drama channels.
Although this means that fans now have access to even more Hallmark-type content on all three of these channels, it can also make it difficult to find a certain show or movie that you want to watch.
Hallmark’s much-awaited series, Ride, for instance is widely advertised on all of the network’s platforms, but it will only be broadcast on the original Hallmark Channel and on the streaming platforms that carry the channel.
If you are unsure of how to locate this channel on your television, you can type your zip code into the Hallmark Channel Locator vie their website.
What is Ride about?
Ride follows the story of the McMurrays, a multigenerational family which is part of a proud rodeo dynasty.
Though the McMurrays may seem like a fairly easy-going family from the outside, the family is struggling to keep its beloved family ranch afloat.
The family’s matriarch, Isabel McMurray, (portrayed by Nancy Travis) struggles to balance her love for the ranch, her love for her family, and the inherent dangers of the rodeo throughout the show.
When will Ride air?
The very first episode of Ride, titled “Legend of the Fall” officially started airing on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday, 26 March 2023, in the 8 p.m. ET timeslot.
The first season of the show will have 10 episodes. The upcoming second episode of the series is titled “Rodeo and Juliet” and will air on Sunday, 2 April 2023.
