Caitlin Stasey reportedly asked Reign producers to write her out of the storyline so that she would be able to pursue other career opportunities that had become available to her.
Caitlin Stasey appeared on The CW’s Reign during 2013 and 2014, taking on the role of Lady Kenna. Kenna’s departure was a large part of season two’s storyline, as initially one of Mary’s ladies-in-waiting, she became the mistress of the King of France who wed his illegitimate son. As their relationship deteriorated, she had an affair with General Renauld, which led to her leaving France altogether upon realising that she had fallen pregnant out of wedlock.
Caitlin reportedly asked the Reign producers to find a way to write her out of the storyline, as she was interested in other opportunities that had become available to her. She went on to appear in shows such as APB, For The People and Bridge And Tunnel. Cailtin also acted in films such as I, Frankenstein; Wake In Fear, alternatively titled All I Need; Fear, Inc. and Kindred Spirits.
