Why did Henry Danger end?

Henry Danger was one of Dan Schneider’s most notable television shows to air on Nickelodeon, which ended abruptly due to the parting of ways between the channel and the show’s creator.

Henry Danger premiered in 2015 and follows a young boy named Henry, who lands the role of sidekick to the town’s superhero, Captain Man. Henry then takes on the task of helping to save the town, whilst keeping his mission a secret and dealing with the trials and tribulations of being a teenager. The series aired its last episode in January 2020, after suddenly announcing the culmination of the show in October 2019.

The series was voted Nickelodeon’s most watched children’s television show of 2019, and had abruptly announced its cancellation after the parting of ways between the channel and the show’s creator, Dan Schneider. Nickelodeon and Dan said, in a joint statement in 2018, “Since several Schneider’s Bakery projects are wrapping up, both sides agreed that this is a natural time for Nickelodeon and Schneider’s Bakery to pursue other opportunities and projects.”

Lead actor, Jace Norman, has gone on to star in the Nickelodeon original movie, Bixler High Private Eye, playing the lead role of Xander DeWitt. He continues to be open to other career opportunities. According to the actor’s social media profiles, he has taken time during the lockdown period to focus on himself, and has yet to update his fans about any upcoming projects.

Dan has kept relatively quiet on social media about his projects, instead, he has been using his platforms to pay tribute to his past shows and the cast members who appeared in them. He often shares behind-the-scenes facts about each of his productions, giving fans insight into some of his most prominent shows. It is unclear when Dan will be venturing into production again, and on what channel it would be broadcast on.
