The Masked Singer: Why did Mickey Rourke unmask himself?

Mickey Rourke’s stint on season 4 of The Masked Singer was cut short after her unmasked himself in the second episode of the season, claiming to be done with wearing the gremlin costume.

Mickey Rourke appeared on the fourth season of The Masked Singer for merely two episodes, after inadvertently disqualifying himself when he removed his mask.

In the second episode of the season, the pro-wrestler appeared in a large purple gremlin costume, which was apparently too hot for him to wear under the bright stage lights.

Following his performance, Mickey advised host, Nick Cannon, that he was going to remove his mask because he was feeling uncomfortable and incredibly hot.

Nick tried his best to stop him from ruining the content of the show, but to no avail, as Mickey threw his mask into the audience and revealed his true identity.

The judges were also in a state of disbelief, as they explained that a situation like that had never happened in earlier seasons.
