Why did My Babysitter’s A Vampire end?

My Babysitter’s A Vampire was not renewed for a third season after the Disney Channel show received low ratings and viewership in the first two seasons.

My Babysitter’s A Vampire premiered on the Disney Channel in 2011, and was based on the French-Canadian television film of the same name.

The series starred Ethan Morgan, who learnt that his babysitter, Sarah, was a vampire, which sparked his ability to see visions into the future.

His best friend, Benny Weir. was also revealed to be a spell master, leading to the three of them joining forces to take down any evil that occurred in their neighbour.

After the first season, the series was renewed for a second season, which was expected to air the following year in 2012.

After some hesitance from Disney Channel, the second season premiered in 2013, and was met with a lukewarm response.

The channel then decided to not renew My Babysitter’s A Vampire for another season, leaving fans abruptly at the end of season two.
