Behind Reality TV

Is Zatima on Netflix?

Is Zatima on Netflix?

Zatima is not available on Netflix (or any other standalone streaming service), but the show is available on BET+.

The first and second seasons of the Sistas spin-off, Zatima were ordered and developed with the help of BET+ and Tyler Perry. For this reason, the show is not available on other streaming services like Netflix.

Is Zatima on Netflix?

Tyler Perry’s fan-favorite soap opera, Sistas, has been a mainstay in many households for years.

In fact, Sistas is still so popular that the series’ most polarizing couple (and that is really saying something), Zac and Fatima, have managed to get their very own spin-off, aptly titled “Zatima.”

The first season of Zatima premiered on BET’s subscription-based streaming service, BET+ on September 22, 2022.

Although you may be able to watch Zatima through another streaming service which allows you to access BET+, you will not find this show on any other streaming service, including Netflix.

The streaming market is incredibly competitive and once one service gets its hands on a specific series, it is nearly impossible for any other service to get the licensing to air that show.

Tyler Perry’s longstanding relationship with BET meant that there was never any real question about which streaming service would get first dibs on telling Zatima’s story.

How much is a BET+ subscription?

BET+ has a solid subscription base of around 3 million and it contains more than 1,000 hours of premium content.

This includes iconic shows like Martin, First Wives Club, All the Queen’s Men, Bruh, Ruthless and other films and television shows from BET Networks.

Currently, a BET subscription will put you back $9.99 per month, but this service has recently announced its plans to introduce a cheaper ($5.99 per month) ad-supported tier by June 25, 2023.

Other ways to watch Zatima

Perhaps the easiest way to go about watching Zatima is through the seven-day free trial to BET+ offered by BET+ itself, or through a third-party like The Roku Channel or Amazon Prime Video.

You can also access Zatima (and a large variety of other BET shows) through other platforms like Philo and Sling TV.

Will Zatima ever be added to Netflix’s lineup?

It may be normal for shows to jump from one streaming service to another once a licensing agreement has run its course.

But considering the fact that Sistas is still airing on BET, and the fact that Tyler Perry is still considered the frontrunner in the BET Group’s auction (he already owns a 25 percent stake in BET and BET+) – it is highly unlikely that Zatima will ever be made available on any other streaming service in the future.
