Major Crimes is not available on Hulu, but you may be able to find a re-run of the show airing on TNT.
Major Crimes is a The Closer spin-off series, which follows Captain Sharon Raydor who is appointed head of the LAPD major crimes division.
The show was officially cancelled in 2017, and it has not been added to any major streaming service, including Hulu, since then.
About Major Crimes
Major Crimes is a police procedural and The Closer spin-off series, which is set in the Los Angeles Police Department that follows Captain Sharon Raydor as she tries to fill the shoes of the former head of the division, Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson.
Captain Raydor not only needs to learn how to handle all of her new professional responsibilities, but she is also confronted with various challenges in her personal life, which make the job that much more difficult.
The show stars Mary McDonnell, in the lead role of Captain Raydor, as well as G. W. Bailey (as Louie Provenza), Tony Denison (as Andy Flynn), Michael Paul Chan (as Michael Tao), Raymond Cruz (as Julio Sanchez), Kearran Giovanni (as Amy Sykes), Phillip P. Keene (as Buzz Watson), Graham Patrick Martin (as Russell “Rusty” Beck) and more.
You will not find Major Crimes on Hulu
Even though Major Crimes proved to be quite popular, both among fans of the original series, The Closer, and fans who found the series all on their own, TNT decided not to renew the show again following its sixth season, which first aired in 2017.
But with the constantly-increasing popularity of streaming services and the ever-increasing demand for new content, a series’s cancellation does not necessarily have to equal its death.
And Major Crimes fans have been keeping close tabs on where to find the show online.
Unfortunately, this process has been complicated by the fact that TNT (the network which created Major Crimes) has not yet closed a deal with a singular streaming service to house all of its fan-favorite content.
So while you may be able to catch a few re-runs of Major Crimes when they air sporadically on TNT or through television streaming services that give you access to TNT content, the series is not currently available to stream in its entirety on any of the major streaming services.
This includes platforms like Netflix, Hulu and Paramount+ and Max. And the only real option that fans of the show are left with is to purchase the show through platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play and Vudu.
Why was Major Crimes cancelled?
Major Crimes’s cancellation was quite controversial, since it had not seen a major drop in ratings leading up to its sixth season.
TNT never provided an official reason for Major Crimes’s unexpected cancelation and even Mary McDonnell seemed to have been confused about the decision.
She admitted in an Instagram post from 2017 that the show’s creators, James Duff and Mike Robin had been “trying to make sense of TNT’s choices” for some time. Unfortunately, this decision still seems confusing, almost six years later.
How many episodes does Major Crimes have in total?
