WoW: Armory SoD

WoW: Armory SoD

WoW Classic players are able to keep track of their Season of the Deep progress, gear, weapons and raid data via the Armory.

World of Warcraft (WoW) Classic recreates the famous World of Warcraft world in the state it was in before the release of its first expansion, The Burning Crusade.

Although this version of WoW does not get the expansions of the main WoW game, Blizzard recently introduced the Season of Discovery expansion.

Armory SoD

Season of Discovery (SoD) introduces an initial level cap of 25 and new endgame content, including a 10-player Blackfathom Deeps raid with new mechanics, new bosses to challenge and new rewards that you can earn.

This expansion is available to all players with an active World of Warcraft subscription, however, you have to select the WoW Classic game to enjoy it. WoW players can enjoy the Armory, which is a searchable database of information.

Since this database pulls its data from the actual game servers, it is the most comprehensive database on the characters, arena teams and guilds in WoW.

That being said, you cannot access an Armory in the game, which means that you have to use a website to access your data.

There are several WoW Classic Armories that you can use that will indicate your SoD progress. As you equip your new SoD gear, weapons and runes, you can view your data on the Armory website.

Furthermore you can view other WoW Classic players’ builds on the Armory and use their builds to enhance your SoD progress.

Armories that you can use

There are various WoW Classic Armories that players can use to keep track of their data, characters, arena teams and guilds. The following table lists some of the Armories that you can use:

Name Description
Classic Armory This website allows you to search for any character in WoW Classic. You can also view the Hardcore Leaderboard, discover Guilds and explore Realms.
Warcraft Tavern Players can easily check the gear, stats and raid progress of any player that has recently logged a raid. You can also see different players’ builds, find out what BiS items they have and which items they are missing.
IronForge On the IronForge website, you can search characters and guilds. You can also add missing characters to the website.
WoW Official Armory This website is generally used for WoW, therefore, you may not be able to view WoW Classic data.

Runes

One of the biggest aspects that the SoD introduced is the Rune Engraving System and new Class Runes.

You can unlock Runes from “Discoveries” like new quests, treasure cuts or secrets throughout Azeroth. After unlocking a Rune, it will be added to the Rune panel, which can be found attached to your character panel.

WoW Classic players can cast “Rune Engraving” Spells, but you have to attach Runes to various pieces of gear.

It is unknown whether you will be able to see the Runes on the SoD Armory websites or not, but since the Runes are attached to the gear, we believe that you will be able to discover the Runes in the Armory.

Keep in mind that it may take some time for the Armories to update after you have attached a Rune to a gear piece.

SoD Items

Similarly to other WoW expansions, SoD introduced  new acquirable gear and weapons. New Gear has been introduced for the Level-Up Raid for Phase 1, Blackfathom Deeps.

In addition to the new gear, you can procure from the raid, you can also craft a variety of new gear and weapons to enhance your character.

Moreover, players can enjoy new rewards from the Warsong Outriders and Silverwing Sentinels Reputations.

Keep in mind that when you equip a new SoD gear piece or weapon, it may take some time for the Armories to update your data on the website.

SoD Raid

As mentioned previously, some Armories can indicate which players recently logged a raid. You can therefore view their builds to help you complete the raid.

In the SoD announcement, Blizzard revealed that they will be expanding Blackfathom Deeps into the first level-up raid.

This raid is on the Zoram Strand, which can be found in the northwest corner of Ashenvale. The nearest flight-points for Alliance players is Astranaar, while Horde players can travel to Zoram-gar.

You should note that the level requirement for this raid is 25 and you can team up with 9 other WoW Classic players to complete it.

There are 7 bosses in the Blackfathom Deeps raid that you can defeat to earn rich rewards, but you should keep in mind that it is on a 3-day Lockout.
