Terrence Terrell is the man responsible for bringing First Wives Club’s Wesley to life, but you may know him from one of his many other projects.
You may have only just discovered Tracy Oliver’s hidden-gem dramedy, First Wives Club (in which case, welcome to the party). Or perhaps you have been an avid fan of the series since day one.
Either way, chances are, you have found (or will find) yourself wondering about one of the show’s most intriguing supporting characters – Wesley.
Terrence Terrell’s Wesley
When Wesley, who has been portrayed by the talented Terrence Terrell in the series from the very beginning, was first introduced in First Wives Club in the first season of the show, it seemed like he was nothing more than a blast from Ari’s law-school days past.
However, it quickly became evident that he meant much more to her than that.
And although we have only seen Wesley in a few brief scenes in this series, we know a surprising amount about his character.
Not only do we know that he and Ari used to study together (and that he has a relationship with Bree, Hazel and Ari which stretches all the way back to their college days), but we also know that he ultimately dropped out of law school to pursue his dream of opening a restaurant.
We now also know that his peyote-driven night with Ari (played by Ryan Michelle Bathe in the series), is ironically one of the things that helped her to recognize the issues in her and David’s marriage. This is what ultimately helped them to reconnect, later on.
Terrence Terrell’s appearance on First Wives Club
First Wives Club has now already concluded its third season, and though it seems unlikely that we will get to see more of Terrell’s fan-favorite character with everything that has transpired in this most recent season of the show (and First Wives Club’s future still hanging in the balance), we can still take a brief look back at all of his appearances, so far.
All in all, Terrell’s Wesley only appeared in three episodes of First Wives Club’s first season, as outlined below:
| Detail | Episode | Episode title |
| First appearance | Season 1, Episode 5 | “What Happens Upstate” |
| Last appearance | Season 1, Episode 7 | “Something Blue” |
| Other appearance | Season 1, Episode 6 | “The Glow Up” |
Terrence Terrell’s other businesses
While television fans may be well-acquainted with Terrell’s acting prowess, he has actually ventured beyond the world of the small screen and into the industries of music, apparel and even animation.
Terrell is actually the CEO of an apparel brand named iCrownedMe. His brand not only sells book and apparel aimed at making young children live confidently as they are, but also funds a nonprofit organization which is dedicated to providing literature and support to children all over the country.
He is also heavily involved in the Skin Deep short, animated film, which has helped to convey this message of self-love and acceptance even further.
What Terrence Terrell has been up to since his appearance on First Wives Club
Terrell’s Instagram page reveals that he has been quite busy in the last few months, filming for the Netflix series, Obliterated, which was officially released on November 30, 2023.
Terrell portrays the role of the amped-up Special Forces operative ‘Trunk’ in this series, which is certainly quite the departure from his sweet, laid-back role on First Wives Club.
But when Terrell is not filming for new shows, you might find him creating new music, like his newly-released single Dance in the Mirror or even advocating for one of the many admirable causes close to his heart.
This, of course, includes the writing of his children’s book, titled My Little Black Book, which officially hit the shelves in 2021.
